Stephen Lambert and Craig Baillie the inventors of the technology, founded the company in November 2001, since which time DualGlo has continued the development and patenting of a ‘glow-in-the dark’ material combined with bright daytime colours and with the necessary properties to be incorporated into a wide range of products. To be recharged the material simply needs to be left near a light source for 10 minutes. (Note: This recharge period can be reduced for a stronger light source, such as direct sunlight).

The material was designed and created to have excellent colour definition, and is available in red, green, blue, orange, yellow and most importantly in a pure white. White is of tremendous value because it can be used in such a wide range of applications, such as light switches.

Traditionally, glow in the dark materials have been of limited interest to industry, as they tended to be the same washed out green colour, only glowing for short periods and could not be used in many plastics.

By contrast, the DualGlo material is a far more versatile product. For example, it can be incorporated into plastics by using a unique master batch system.

It can also be incorporated into other products, such as glass, synthetic materials (i.e. for textile applications, such as clothing) or can be used as a plastics coating or even in paint.

We have recently been granted full patent protection in India, which extends the areas covered by our full patents (DualGlo is protected worldwide by a PCT).
